We are living in interesting times indeed... Although lockdown provided the time it did not provide the space for creativity, and things were put on hold for a while. I've only recently come out of my bubble and I've been making fabric face coverings. I had a stack of fabrics put aside for dungarees and harem pants which lend themselves perfectly to the task. They may be a part of life for some time to come so let's be positive about it :)
5 Reasons To Wear A Mask:
1 - it really brings out your eyes and you look cute.
2 - you can be a highwayperson or badass post-apocalyptic warrior. Today I am The Paisley Avenger.
3 - choosing from all the gorgeous fabrics is another way to express yourself.
4 - you can pull faces at people who annoy you and they have NO IDEA.
5 - you might stop someone catching a deadly virus.

A note on quirkiness:
Most of these clothes are upcycled from already-worn garments as well as bits of fabric from weird and wonderful places. Every item is handmade and unique. Therefore it is not “perfect”! If symmetry and perfection are your style this may not be for you. But if, like me, you’re a bit wayward yourself, you’ll love the quirks, kinks, and wonky one-of-a-kindness. You and these clothes will match personalities and compliment each other perfectly!
I must take the opportunity to thank Katwise (the undisputed Queen of Upcycled Sweatercoats and more) for her tutorials which have been inspiring and encouraging, while her generosity and spirit make me want to be a better person as well as a better seamstress.

No Muppets are harmed in the making of these garments!
